Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday launched the Vidyarthi Sahyog Portal, an online platform that will allow students to submit complaints and suggestions related to their studies, colleges and hostels directly to the state administration.

The portal was launched at an event held at JD Women’s College in Patna. It is intended for students enrolled in government and private educational institutions across Bihar.

Complaints To Be Resolved Within 30 Days

According to information shared at the event, complaints registered through the portal will be processed through a time-bound system, with the government aiming to resolve the issues and inform students of the outcome within 30 days of registration.

Students will also be able to track the status of their complaints through the portal, reducing the need to visit different government offices to follow up on their grievances.

Direct Link Between Students And Administration

The state government has said the portal is intended to bring student-related grievances onto a single platform and make the process of registering and resolving complaints simpler and more transparent.

The system will serve as a direct communication channel between students and the administration for issues concerning academic facilities and hostel-related matters.

Helpline 1100 For Assistance

Students who face difficulties while using the online platform can seek assistance through the 1100 helpline. The facility will also provide information related to the Vidyarthi Sahyog Shivir, or Student Support Camp.

The government expects the new system to help ensure that student grievances reach the concerned authorities and are monitored until resolution.

The effectiveness of the portal will depend on how efficiently complaints are processed and resolved at the institutional and administrative levels across the state.
