Siwan/Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Siwan in Bihar today and will address a large public rally in Jasauli. He is expected to land first at Kushinagar Airport in Uttar Pradesh and then reach the Jasauli helipad by helicopter around 11:50am. From there, he will travel a short distance—just 300 metres—to the rally venue, where nearly three lakh people are anticipated to gather to hear him speak.
During his one-and-a-half-hour visit, PM Modi will launch and lay the foundation stone for 22 development projects worth Rs 5,736 crore. These will include 11 Amrit Bharat station projects and four Namami Gange projects aimed at improving sewerage and sanitation, with a total investment of Rs 2,997 crore.
He will also flag off a new 8-coach Vande Bharat Express train that will run between Patliputra Junction and Gorakhpur. Another major announcement on the cards is the inauguration of the new Vaishali–Deoria railway line, which is expected to significantly enhance connectivity in the region.
In addition to infrastructure projects, the Prime Minister will transfer Rs 51,000 each as the first installment to 53,666 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). He will also hand over keys to 6,684 families who have completed construction of their homes.
This will mark PM Modi’s fifth visit to Bihar this year, underlining the increasing political focus on the state ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
