Nalanda: A rare white tiger named Kesari has been introduced at Rajgir Zoo Safari, offering wildlife enthusiasts and tourists a new attraction at the popular destination in Bihar. The tiger was brought from Patna Zoo under a special animal exchange programme aimed at strengthening wildlife conservation and enhancing visitor experience.
Safari authorities said Kesari has now been officially released into the tiger enclosure, allowing visitors to see the majestic animal once the safari section opens for public viewing. The management described the arrival of the white tiger as a significant addition that is expected to draw more tourists to the safari park.
In recent days, tourists who have spotted Kesari in the open enclosure have expressed excitement. The tiger’s distinctive white coat and powerful presence have become a major attraction, particularly for families and children. Visitors have also been keen to capture photographs of the rare animal during the safari experience.
Rajgir Zoo Safari director Ramsundar M. said the arrival of Kesari is a proud moment for the entire management and staff. He noted that the safari authorities have created an environment that closely resembles the tiger’s natural habitat, ensuring the animal’s comfort and well-being.
According to officials, Kesari has adapted well to the local climate and the spacious enclosure after a brief observation period. The surrounding area has been designed with ecological considerations, while advanced safety protocols have been put in place to protect both the animal and visitors. Safari vehicles operating in the area are also fully secured.
