Patna: On World Autism Awareness Day, a special awareness programme was held in Patna on Saturday, focusing on inclusion, early diagnosis and support for children on the autism spectrum.
Organised by Inspire Kids Child Development Center, the event carried the theme “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value” and aimed to highlight the rights and dignity of autistic children while challenging social stigma around neurodevelopmental conditions.
Speakers at the programme included medical professionals and education experts, who discussed the symptoms of autism, the importance of early identification, assessment methods and therapeutic interventions. They emphasised that timely diagnosis, along with appropriate therapy and structured support, can significantly improve developmental outcomes and quality of life.
An interactive session was also held for parents, during which families shared personal concerns and received guidance from specialists on care strategies and available support systems.
The programme also featured performances by children, showcasing their talents in a range of activities that were warmly received by attendees.
Organisers stressed the need for greater public awareness and societal acceptance, urging communities to ensure equal opportunities, respect and inclusion for children with autism.
A large number of parents, teachers and local residents attended the event.
