Young Man Crushed by Crane in Bihar, Locals Demand Justice

A 25-year-old scooty rider was killed instantly after a crane ran over his head in Bihar’s Supaul district, sparking outrage and demands for justice from local residents

Supaul: A tragic road accident took place in Supaul district of Bihar on Wednesday night, where a young man riding a scooty was killed after being hit by a crane. The incident happened around 9.30pm on Karjain Road in Simrahi Nagar Panchayat, under Raghopur police station.

The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Bhola Purve, son of Bhagwan Purve, a resident of Simrahi Ward 4. He was going towards Karjain Road on his scooty when a crane coming from the opposite direction hit him. The scooty lost balance and Bhola fell on the road. Sadly, the crane’s wheel ran over his head, killing him on the spot.

Soon after the accident, local people caught the crane driver and handed him over to the police. The police reached the spot, seized the crane, and took the driver into custody. SHO Naveen Kumar said no written complaint has been received yet, but the police have taken the body for post-mortem and further investigation is going on.

Bhola’s death has caused great sorrow in his family. Relatives are crying uncontrollably, and neighbours are shocked. A crowd gathered at the spot demanding justice and financial help for the victim’s family.
