Railways Introduces Additional Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath Passengers in Patna

Patna: In anticipation of the surge in passengers during the Diwali and Chhath festivities, the Railways has introduced several special trains to cater to the increased demand. A total of 10 additional special trains have been scheduled to ensure convenient travel for the public during this festive season.

Here are the details of the special trains:

Kolkata-Patna-Kolkata Chhath Special (via Jasidih-Jhajha-Kiul):

  • Departure from Kolkata: 11:55pm on 14.11.2023 and 16.11.2023
  • Arrival in Patna: 10:30am the next day
  • Return from Patna: 2:30pm on 15.11.2023 and 17.11.2023
  • Arrival in Kolkata: 12:25am
  • Coaches: 13 sleeper class, 5 general class

Durg-Patna-Durg Chhath Special (via Raipur-Bilaspur-Rourkela-Hatia-Bokaro-Gomo-Gaya):

  • Departure from Durg: 2:45pm on 15.11.2023
  • Arrival in Patna: 9:30am the next day
  • Return from Patna: 10:30am on 16.11.2023
  • Arrival in Durg: 8:20am the next day
  • Coaches: 7 air-conditioned, 9 sleeper class, 4 ordinary class

Hyderabad-Patna-Hyderabad Chhath Special (via Secunderabad-Ballarshah-Gondia-Jabalpur-Prayagraj Chhivki-DDU):

  • Departure from Hyderabad: 12:00 noon on 13, 18, and 20.11.2023
  • Arrival in Patna: 5:15pm the next day
  • Return from Patna: 3:35am on 15, 20, and 22.11.2023
  • Arrival in Hyderabad: 10:00am the next day
  • Coaches: 2 second air-conditioned, 10 third air-conditioned economy, 2 sleeper class, 2 ordinary class

Pune-Danapur-Pune Superfast Special (via Bhusaval-Itarsi-Jabalpur-Prayagraj Chhivki-Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Jn.):

  • Departure from Pune: 6:30am on 13.11.2023 and 16.11.2023
  • Arrival in Danapur: 11:40pm the next day
  • Return from Danapur: 1:30pm on 14.11.2023 and 17.11.2023
  • Arrival in Pune: 7:45pm the next day
  • Coaches: 12 air-conditioned third economy, 6 sleeper class

  • Arrival in Raxaul: 6:00am on the third day
