Patna High Court Postpones Hearing on BPSC 70th PT Re-exam Due to Chief Justice's Farewell

Patna: The hearing in Patna High Court regarding the BPSC 70th PT re-exam has been postponed. The hearing was scheduled for January 9 but was postponed due to the Chief Justice’s farewell. The hearing will now be held on January 16.

Jan suraaj, Prashant Kishor’s party, has filed a petition in the High Court seeking the cancellation of the BPSC 70th PT exam and demanding that the result not be released until a re-exam is conducted. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav and Khan Sir have also filed petitions in the High Court, demanding a re-examination and the withdrawal of FIRs registered against protesting candidates.

Earlier, the Supreme Court refused to hear a petition filed by Bihar’s Anand Legal and Forum Trust regarding the matter, directing them to approach the Patna High Court.

The BPSC 70th PT exam has been marred by controversy, with candidates demanding its cancellation due to various issues, including alleged irregularities in the examination process, normalization issues, and the late arrival and torn condition of question papers at some centers.

Protests against the exam have been ongoing, with candidates staging demonstrations and demanding action against officials responsible for the alleged irregularities. Prominent figures, including Prashant Kishor and Pappu Yadav, have supported the candidates’ demands.
