BSRTC Launches New Bus Service Between Patna and Prayagraj for Devotee’s Convenience
Patna: Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has launched a new bus service between Patna and Prayagraj, starting from January 31. The service, aimed at facilitating the travel of devotees, will operate two non-AC Tata buses daily. The buses will depart from Patna at 8:30 PM and reach Prayagraj at 4:00 AM the following morning. The return service from Prayagraj will leave at 10:00 PM and reach Patna by 5:00 AM. The service will run until February 28, 2025.
Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal emphasized that this initiative was introduced to provide a safe, affordable, and comfortable travel experience for passengers commuting between the two cities. He highlighted that the new buses are a part of BSRTC’s ongoing efforts to improve public transport services and ensure high-quality, reliable travel for the people of Bihar.
The buses will travel via Ara, Mohania, and Varanasi, making it an easier and more convenient journey for passengers. The fare for the one-way trip is Rs 550, and passengers can book tickets at the Bankipur Bus Stand in Patna. For round-trip bookings, passengers have the option to secure tickets for both directions at once.
BSRTC Administrator Atul Kumar Verma mentioned that the buses would be equipped with 42 seats each, catering to the needs of a large number of passengers.
