Patna: Some parts of Bihar are likely to experience cloudy conditions and light rain on February 28 and March 1 due to the impact of an active western disturbance, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). While no significant fluctuations in temperature are expected in the coming days, a slight chill may be felt in the mornings.
The IMD has forecast normal weather for February 27, but light rain is expected in isolated locations across Kaimur, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Jamui, Bhagalpur, Banka, Gaya, Nawada, and Katihar over the following two days. Additionally, dense fog is likely in several districts, including Bhagalpur, prompting a fog alert for parts of the state.
Temperature variations were observed across Bihar on Wednesday, with some areas recording an increase while others saw a decline. Meteorologists attribute this fluctuation to shifting wind directions. The IMD Patna has predicted a rise in temperatures by two to four degrees Celsius over the next three to four days.
Despite this forecasted rise, experts suggest that Bihar’s overall temperature is unlikely to increase significantly due to snowfall in northwestern India and ongoing heavy rain and thunderstorms in the plains. The absence of hot westerly winds is expected to keep temperatures stable. However, further weather changes could occur after March 2, when a new western disturbance is set to become active.
