Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started the process of filling out examination forms for the 2027 Matric and Intermediate annual examinations. The form-filling and fee payment window will remain open from August 25 to September 16, 2026.
BSEB issued a notification on Monday outlining the schedule and procedure. Students will not submit the forms directly; the heads of their respective schools and colleges will complete the online process.
The board said institutions must ensure that students verify their details against their original registration certificates before the forms are submitted.
Important Dates
Schools and colleges can download registration certificates and examination forms from the designated BSEB websites between August 25 and September 16, 2026.
The same period will apply for filling out online examination applications and depositing the prescribed fees.
For Intermediate examination forms, institutions will use intermediate.biharboardonline.com, while Matric examination forms will be processed through exam.biharboardonline.org.
How Students Must Submit Forms
The heads of educational institutions will download the examination forms and make them available to registered students.
Students must complete the form in duplicate. One copy will be submitted to the institution, while the second copy, signed and stamped by the head of the institution with the date, will be returned to the student as an acknowledgement.
Before submitting the form, students must check their name, parents’ names, date of birth, subjects and other details against the original registration certificate.
Intermediate Examination Fees
The prescribed Intermediate examination fee, including the Rs 30 miscellaneous charge retained by the educational institution, varies by category.
- Regular candidates (Arts, Science and Commerce): Rs 1,430
- Independent candidates (Arts, Science and Commerce): Rs 1,770
- Qualifying examinees: Rs 2,110
- Vocational course, regular: Rs 1,830
- Vocational course, independent: Rs 2,170
- Ex-candidates, regular: Rs 1,060
- Ex-candidates, independent: Rs 1,400
- Category improvement, regular: Rs 1,770
- Category improvement, independent: Rs 2,110
Photograph And Signature Requirements
BSEB has specified technical requirements for photographs and signatures uploaded with the examination application.
The student’s colour photograph must be in JPG or JPEG format and between 50KB and 100KB. The prescribed size is 35mm × 30mm or 4.5cm × 3.5cm, with a resolution of 300 dpi.
The photograph should have a plain white or light green background, with the face occupying around 70-80% of the image. Students must not wear caps, glasses, sunglasses or scarves while taking the photograph.
The signature must be in JPG or JPEG format, between 10KB and 20KB, and measure 3.5cm × 1cm. It should be clearly written in black or blue ink on white paper.
Online Form-Filling Process
The head of the school or college will be responsible for completing the online application. The process is:
- Visit the designated BSEB website.
- Select the “Click Here for Registration 2025-27” link.
- Log in using the institution’s user ID and password.
- Enter the students’ details and upload their photographs and signatures.
- Verify the information before submitting the application.
- Pay the prescribed fee through the available payment gateway.
- Download the online application confirmation receipt after successful payment.
The board has listed payment gateways including Paisaalo Digital Ltd, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank and IDBI Bank.
Mobile Number And Email ID Mandatory
Institutions must provide a mobile number and email ID for every student during the online application process. The board has directed that only one mobile number and email ID should be registered for each student.
If there are errors in the registration certificate, including mistakes in spelling, gender, caste or subjects, the institution’s head can make the necessary corrections during the examination form-filling period.
Admit Card Warning
Students who fail to complete the examination form and pay the prescribed fee within the stipulated period will not be issued an admit card for the 2027 annual examination.
Students should therefore contact their respective schools or colleges and complete the verification process before the September 16 deadline.
