Colours, Music, and Joy: Holi 2025 Takes Over the Streets in Patna

Patna : The city of Patna is awash with colour as Holi celebrations sweep through its streets, from bustling urban centers to quiet village corners. The annual festival, known for its exuberance, has turned the capital into a sea of vibrant hues, with people embracing the spirit of togetherness through music, dance, and revelry.

Across the city, Holi Milan gatherings have been organised, bringing friends, families, and communities together. In Danapur, a youth-led celebration saw revellers dousing each other in coloured powders while dancing to music played by DJs. The air is thick with gulal, the traditional coloured powder, as laughter and festive cheer fill the streets.

Women and men alike are joining in the celebrations, swaying to the beats of dhol drums and exchanging warm Holi greetings. “On the day of Holi, all resentments fade away. People embrace each other, keeping alive a centuries-old tradition. This festival holds a special place for every Indian, and the enthusiasm among the youth is unmatched,” said Aadasi Saxena, a local resident.

Traditional folk songs add to the festive atmosphere, with groups singing and playing music as they revel in the celebrations. “We are all having a great time—there are games, colours, and water splashes everywhere,” said Siddhi, another Patna resident.
