Rabri Devi, Tej Pratap Yadav Questioned by ED in Land-for-Jobs Case

Patna: Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and her son Tej Pratap Yadav appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Patna on Tuesday for questioning in the land-for-jobs case.
Rabri Devi arrived at the ED office at around 10.50 am, accompanied by her elder daughter, Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti. Shortly after, Tej Pratap Yadav reached the office around noon. This is the first time Tej Pratap has been summoned in connection with the case.
According to officials, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has also been called for questioning on Wednesday, March 19.
Since morning, RJD supporters gathered outside the ED office, raising slogans against the central government. The summons to Lalu family drew reactions from political leaders. Bihar minister and JD (U) functionary Shravan Kumar said, “The law is taking its course; it is a matter for the court.” Meanwhile, BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul commented, “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Those who looted this country will have to return it and face strict legal action.”
Meanwhile, RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav has alleged that the BJP is using investigative agencies to harass their leaders ahead of the Bihar elections.
Earlier, on March 11, a hearing in the case took place at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. Tej Pratap and his sister Hema Yadav were present during the proceedings, where all accused were granted bail.
