Rs 1 Crore Robbery at Gunpoint in Patna’s Kankarbagh, Police Suspect Middleman’s Role

Patna: In a shocking daylight robbery, armed criminals looted ₹1 crore in cash from two property dealers at gunpoint in the Kankarbagh police station area on Ashok Nagar Road No. 14. The robbers fled the scene immediately after the crime, leaving the victims in shock.
The victims, Abhishek Kumar and Raju Kumar, both residents of Rupaspur, were in a private office counting money when the incident took place. They had brought the cash as an advance payment for a land deal. Soon after, a group of five to six armed miscreants stormed in, pointed a pistol at them, and forcibly took the bag full of money.
Middleman and Land Seller Under Scrutiny
According to City SP (East) Dr. K. Ramdas, the police are investigating the role of the middleman and the land seller, as their involvement appears suspicious. The victims were reportedly called to the office by these individuals for finalizing a land purchase in Jaganpura. The deal was being negotiated for the past month, with both parties settling on ₹1.5 crore per kattha.
The middleman had arranged the meeting at a private office in Ratan Complex. When Abhishek and Raju arrived around 12:30 p.m., one or two individuals were already present. As soon as they finished counting the money, five to six armed criminals barged in, looted the cash, and escaped along with the men who were already in the office.
CCTV Footage Under Investigation
Initial police investigations suggest that the criminals arrived on a bike, which they had parked in a nearby lane. CCTV footage from the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) is being reviewed to track their escape route. The suspects were last seen at Jaganpura turn, and police are working to identify the bike owner through its registration number, though there is a possibility of a fake number plate.
Additionally, call records of the middleman and land seller are under scrutiny, and police are extracting dump data to match the timeline with CCTV evidence.
