Patna: Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) Managing Director Naveen Kumar inspected Patliputra Industrial Area on Saturday and directed officials to take action against encroachments, unauthorised construction, waste dumping and infrastructure maintenance lapses.
During the October 10 inspection, the IAS officer reviewed data centre operations, industrial units and infrastructure facilities. He assessed issues related to traffic management, sanitation, unauthorised use of industrial land and the upkeep of roads and other facilities, directing officials to resolve the identified problems within stipulated deadlines.
Access Control, Action Against Encroachments
Kumar directed officials to introduce an access control system at all entry gates to regulate the movement of private vehicles within the industrial area.
He also ordered action, in accordance with applicable rules, against industrial units found storing construction materials unauthorisedly along the main and internal roads.
To improve cleanliness, officials were instructed to ensure the immediate removal of waste and conduct awareness campaigns through public announcements. Notices are to be issued to industrial units to prevent roadside waste dumping, with action against violations under the applicable rules.
Action Over Illegal Parking And Construction
The BIADA managing director directed officials to act against unauthorised vehicle parking on BIADA land near the Polytechnic and Sai Temple.
He also instructed officials to issue a notice to the management of Sai Temple over alleged unauthorised construction of a building on BIADA land.
BUIDCO Asked To Bear Road Restoration Costs
Reviewing road maintenance, Kumar expressed concern over the failure to restore a road to its original condition after sewer line repair work carried out by the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO).
He directed officials to send a formal communication to BUIDCO for recovery of the estimated cost of restoring the road.
Kumar also instructed BIADA engineers to periodically monitor construction undertaken by industrial units and verify whether the work conforms to building plans approved by BIADA-empanelled architects.
Inspection Covers Industrial And Commercial Units
During the visit, Kumar inspected several industrial and commercial establishments, including Ravi Industry, Recon Engicon Pvt. Ltd., UNO Digital Pvt. Ltd., SLMG Beverage Pvt. Ltd., Prius System LLP, CtrlS, Ambe Infra Green LLP, Aeron Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Bihar Trade Tower, Vijayam Educational Trust, Maa Re Rolling Mill, Puja Printech Pvt. Ltd., Satya Enterprises, Eclet Industries Ltd., Civ Mill Industries Pvt. Ltd., Tirupati Industries and Ruby Fastner.
The inspection covered infrastructure facilities, industrial activities and issues requiring administrative intervention across the industrial area.
Officials Directed To Ensure Timely Compliance
Kumar directed the Executive Director (Operations) to ensure action on all issues identified during the inspection. The concerned deputy general manager and other officials were instructed to monitor progress regularly and ensure that corrective measures were completed within the stipulated timeframe.
He emphasised accountability, timely execution and strict compliance with applicable rules.
BIADA said regular inspections, proper maintenance of infrastructure and regulated use of industrial land were central to its efforts to improve industrial facilities and create a clean, safe and investor-friendly environment across Bihar.
