Girl from Munger, Bihar, Injures Herself After Parents Deny Apple iPhone

Munger: A young woman from Mohanpur Khalasi Mohalla in Jamalpur, Munger, injured herself after her parents refused to buy her an expensive Apple iphone. The girl, identified as Khushboo Kumari, used a blade to cut her right hand in frustration. Seeing her bleeding profusely, the family rushed her to Jamalpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. After receiving first aid, she was referred to Munger Sadar Hospital for further treatment.

Dr. Rupesh Kumar, a doctor at Sadar Hospital, stated that Khushboo had only cut the first layer of her skin. Fortunately, no major veins were injured, preventing a life-threatening situation. She is currently receiving treatment in the women’s ward.

According to family sources, Khushboo was adamant about getting an Apple iphone. When her parents, who come from a financially struggling background, denied her request, she took this extreme step. Her father, Shambhu Bind, works as a laborer to support the family.

Khushboo was married six months ago in a love marriage to a young man from Kali Sthan under the Bariyarpur police station area. Her husband, who is currently studying in Patna, rushed to Munger as soon as he learned about the incident. Her mother, Sushila Devi, expressed concern over her daughter’s actions but did not comment further.
