Patna : In a heartfelt tribute to devotion and heritage, renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has lent her voice to a fresh rendition of Ram Bhajan Kar Man, the iconic devotional song dedicated to Lord Ram. Originally immortalised by Lata Mangeshkar, the bhajan has now been re-released by Saregama India with Ghoshal’s soulful interpretation, bringing renewed emotion and spiritual depth to the composition.
Described as a “medium to connect with the depths of the soul,” Ghoshal’s version aims to preserve the spirit of the original while infusing it with a contemporary sensitivity. “When I sang this bhajan, I felt as if I was sitting at the feet of Lord Shri Ram,” Ghoshal said. “Lata ji has already made this piece timeless. I have only tried to carry forward her devotion with my own.”
The reimagined Ram Bhajan Kar Man combines faith, music and meditation in a way that seeks to offer listeners inner peace and spiritual energy. Ghoshal’s rendition is steeped in reverence, her vocals guiding the listener through a reflective, almost transcendental experience.
Saregama India, formerly known as The Gramophone Company of India, has played a significant role in preserving and reintroducing India’s rich musical legacy. Now part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, the label continues to bridge generations by reviving classic compositions for a modern audience.
