Patna: Weather conditions across Bihar have shifted noticeably due to the influence of a low-pressure area over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal. This system has been moving northwestwards, accompanied by a cyclonic circulation over northeast Jharkhand and a trough extending from East Bihar to North Telangana.

As a result of these developments, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for isolated hailstorms, gusty winds, and thunderstorms in Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, and Supaul districts. There is also a likelihood of lightning accompanied by strong winds in parts of north-central, north-east, and south-east Bihar over the next 24 hours.

Thunderstorms and Humid Conditions in Patna

Patna and its surrounding areas experienced partly cloudy skies and rising humidity on Tuesday, causing discomfort for residents. Thunderstorms are expected to occur in the capital within the next 24 hours, with similar weather patterns likely to persist for the next four days.

Temperature Trends Across the State

On Tuesday, most districts reported a rise in maximum temperatures, except for Patna, Dehri, Valmiki Nagar, and Motihari. Patna recorded a high of 36.0°C, while Aurangabad registered the state’s highest maximum temperature at 39.8°C.
