Jan Suraaj Supporters Converge on Patna for Prashant Kishor’s Bihar Badlaav Rally

Patna: Supporters of Jan Suraaj from across Bihar began pouring into Patna on Friday morning for the party’s much-anticipated Bihar Badlaav rally at Gandhi Maidan, where political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor is scheduled to address the crowd around 2pm.

Posters and banners of Jan Suraaj lined the streets of the state capital as convoys of party supporters arrived by road and rail, signalling a show of strength for the fledgling political movement.

Kishor, who has spent the past two years touring Bihar’s districts under the Jan Suraaj initiative, has claimed that as many as five lakh people are expected to attend the rally. He has instructed local organisers to ensure smooth arrangements for those arriving from distant districts.

The rally is seen as a key moment in Kishor’s attempt to position Jan Suraaj as a serious political force ahead of the upcoming state elections.
