IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav train will depart from Dhanbad on 31 May for a 13-day pilgrimage to seven Jyotirlingas and Shirdi Sai Baba, with stoppages in Bihar.

Patna: The Indian Railways’ IRCTC is launching a special pilgrimage journey under its ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ initiative, with the Bharat Gaurav tourist train set to depart from Dhanbad on May 31. The train will offer passengers a spiritual circuit to seven revered Jyotirlinga temples and Shirdi Sai Baba over 12 nights and 13 days. So far, 250 out of 700 seats have been booked.

Regional Manager Rajesh Kumar announced that the train will stop at several stations in Bihar, including Hazaribagh Road, Koderma, Gaya, Rajgir, Biharsharif, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Ara, Buxar, Dildar Nagar, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, allowing pilgrims to board.

The itinerary includes stops at Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar in Ujjain, Nageshwar and Dwarkadhish in Dwarka, Somnath, Trayambakeshwar in Nashik, Bhimashankar in Pune, Ghrishneshwar in Aurangabad, and a visit to Shirdi for Sai Baba’s darshan. The journey concludes on June 12.

The package costs Rs 23,575 per person in sleeper class and Rs 39,990 in 3AC. Group bookings from Patna come with a Rs 700 discount per person. Facilities include vegetarian meals, AC/non-AC hotel stays, security personnel, and bus transfers at pilgrimage sites.
