The announcement was made on Thursday following a key decision by the department, aiming to realign teaching resources more effectively.

According to official figures, a total of 1,20,738 teachers will be reassigned through a software-based system, with the process set to begin by 27 May. The large-scale reshuffle is part of a broader push to enhance the efficiency and equity of staffing in Bihar’s schools.

Education Minister Sunil Kumar has directed officials to complete the entire transfer exercise by 10 August. The directive is linked to ongoing initiatives surrounding teacher recruitment, placement, and the upcoming Bihar Public Service Commission Teachers Recruitment Exam (BPSC TRE-4).
