An aspiring Home Guard, Sunny Deol Paswan, tragically died after breaking his neck during a “tiger jump” practice session in Bhabua on May 16.

Bhabhua/Patna: A tragic incident has cast a shadow over the aspirations of a young man seeking a position in the Home Guard, as he succumbed to injuries sustained during a “tiger jump” practice session. The deceased, identified as Sunny Deol Paswan, suffered a fatal neck fracture after landing on his head while attempting the demanding jump in Bhabua on May 16.

Paswan was immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital following the accident and subsequently transferred to a trauma center in Banaras for specialized treatment. Despite a week of intensive care, he passed away.

The unfortunate incident highlights the risks associated with physical training for recruitment drives. Paswan’s family, described as economically disadvantaged, had reportedly pinned their hopes on his successful recruitment to improve their financial circumstances.
