
Begusarai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday carried out raids at the homes of two individuals formerly associated with Flipkart in Begusarai district, Bihar, in connection with a probe into financial irregularities.
The searches took place early in the morning in Ward 13 of Samsa-1 Panchayat under the Mansoorchak police station area. The ED team, arriving in six vehicles, targeted the residences of Avinash Kumar, son of the late Pankaj Kumar Thakur, and Rajneesh Kumar, also known as Raja, son of Jappu Sah.
According to officials, the operation was launched following leads about suspicious transactions linked to both men. During the raid, investigators seized several documents, electronic devices, and other materials believed to be related to money laundering and unaccounted wealth. Although the ED has not released an official statement, sources suggest that key evidence was recovered.
Local residents informed reporters that Avinash and Rajneesh had previously worked for Flipkart in Begusarai but moved to Delhi around two years ago. Since then, they have frequently travelled to Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Their movements had reportedly been under surveillance by various government agencies. The raids caused chaos in the neighbourhood as the ED team combed through the premises.The investigation remains ongoing.
