
Patna: A large yoga event was held at Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna today to celebrate International Yoga Day 2025. The event was led by Bihar’s Health Minister Mangal Pandey. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha also took part. They performed yoga along with thousands of people and encouraged everyone to include yoga in their daily lives.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that International Yoga Day was started with the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that yoga is now recognised around the world and helps people stay both physically healthy and mentally peaceful.
Many students, NCC cadets, volunteers, police personnel, and local residents participated in the event. Trained yoga teachers guided the crowd through various yoga poses and explained their health benefits. The main goal of the programme was to raise awareness about the importance of yoga and to inspire people to live healthier lives.
The district administration and sports department made proper arrangements at the venue. Drinking water, first aid, security, yoga mats, and parking were all taken care of. The event was not just about fitness but also showed how people from all backgrounds can come together for a good cause.
