Bihar Agricultural University marked International Yoga Day 2025 with active participation and a strong message on health and well-being.

Patna: Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour, celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 on 21 June with great energy and involvement from students, teachers, and staff. The event took place on the university campus in the early morning and followed the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH.

The programme was led by Vice-Chancellor Dr D.R. Singh, who spoke about the need to include yoga in everyday life. He said that yoga helps reduce stress, improves health, and brings balance in life—especially for students and those working in education. According to him, Yoga Day is not just an event, but a reminder to live with harmony and discipline.

The session was conducted by trained yoga instructors and included asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation. Many students came forward as volunteers and helped organise the event, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

To continue promoting yoga, the university also announced a 15-day yoga workshop starting from 5 July 2025. It will be held every morning at the University Officers Club and aims to help participants make yoga a daily habit. The event was successfully coordinated by the Director of Student Welfare and highlighted the university’s commitment to physical and mental wellness.
