Siwan: A land dispute in Hardiya village under Pachrukhi police station area of Bihar turned into a violent incident on Friday. Three brothers were shot by miscreants over the land issue. One of them, 28-year-old Irshad Khan, died on the spot while his two brothers are fighting for their lives in the hospital.
According to villagers, Kamal, who is known as a land mafia in the area, had bought a piece of land recently. Another family was opposing his possession of this land. Due to this, there was tension between both parties. On Friday, Kamal’s nephew and his group attacked the family of Injat Khan and started firing suddenly.
The firing injured all three sons of Injat Khan. Villagers rushed them to the hospital where doctors declared Irshad Khan dead. His two brothers, Ajmat Khan and Kaifi Khan, were later referred to PMCH in Patna as their condition was critical. The attackers ran away from the spot with their weapons before villagers could catch them.
Police station in-charge Sunny Kumar said the firing happened due to a land dispute. Police are now investigating the case. Villagers are demanding that the culprits be arrested soon and strict action taken to prevent such violent incidents in the future.
