Patna: A 20-year-old man died and two others were seriously injured after a speeding vehicle hit their bike near Sainik Chowk in Danapur. The victim, Nagmani Kumar, was travelling with Abhishek Kumar and Vikas Kumar on Tuesday evening to drop Abhishek at Khagaul railway station for his journey to Banaras when the accident occurred. Witnesses said the vehicle was moving at high speed before hitting the trio, after which the driver fled. Despite being critically injured, Nagmani managed to inform his family but later succumbed to his injuries. Both Abhishek and Vikas are admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Sugana Mod. Local residents have raised concerns about overspeeding on the Maner-Danapur road, claiming that the police rarely monitor the area. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem. All three were relatives.
