Patna: Two state-of-the-art centres were inaugurated at Mediversal Multi Super Specialty Hospital in Kankarbagh, Patna on July 2. The newly launched units include the Mediversal Institute of Neurological Diseases and Surgery (MINDS) and an Echosense Fibroscan unit.
The centres were inaugurated by Brajesh Mehrotra, State Information Commissioner and former bureaucrat. The MINDS unit will offer holistic and multidimensional treatment for complex neurological conditions such as stroke, brain haemorrhage, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. The medical team comprises neurosurgeon Saqib Azad Siddiqui, neurologist Ajit Kumar, as well as neuro anaesthesiologists, neuro physiotherapists, and neuro-rehabilitation specialists.
Meanwhile, the Echosense Fibroscan unit will provide diagnostic and treatment facilities for liver diseases including fatty liver, hepatitis, and cirrhosis. This technology is currently available at only a few centres in Patna. The gastroenterology team includes Asif Iqbal and Avinash Kumar.
Hospital officials stated that the launch of these centres is aimed at providing a one-stop solution for patients requiring advanced neurological and liver care within the city.
