Patna: The Central Hajj Committee has announced that there will be no Hajj flights from Ranchi or Patna in 2026. Instead, pilgrims from Bihar and Jharkhand will have to travel from Gaya, which has been included among the 17 designated airports for Hajj embarkation next year.
Despite the completion of the new terminal at Patna Airport, the facility has not been approved for Hajj operations. Similarly, Ranchi Airport will also remain excluded from the Hajj route in 2026.
The online application process for Hajj 2026 is now underway, with the deadline for form submission set for July 31. Applicants are advised to begin preparations early, particularly in ensuring that their international passports are valid until at least 31 December 2026.
Special provisions are in place for pilgrims aged over 65, who must be accompanied by an attendant. The application process, including assistance for obtaining passports, is also being facilitated at local Haj Bhawans.
