Patna: Patna is set to welcome curious minds from across the city as the seventh edition of the Patna Mind Fest returns on July 19 and July 20 at the Bihar Museum. Organised jointly by the IAS Officers’ Association, Bihar Branch, and civil society initiative Extra-C, the two-day event will offer five competitions designed to celebrate and encourage a love for learning.
The event, which began in 2018 and took a hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic, invites individuals and teams to participate in a series of mental challenges ranging from quizzes to writing contests. This year’s lineup includes the India Quiz, Creative Writing, and Word Bee on the first day, followed by the Cryptic Crossword and General Quiz on the second. Teams may consist of up to three members, and there are no age restrictions for participants. Separate awards and certificates will be given to school and college students.
Renowned quiz master Venkatesh Srinivasan from Nexus Consulting, Bengaluru, will conduct the competitions. Srinivasan, a familiar figure in India’s quizzing circles, is known for his engaging style and challenging questions.
Registrations are free and open online at www.crypticsingh.com until 5pm on July 18. For those unable to register online, on-spot registration will be available at the venue on both days.
Entry to the venue will be allowed upon showing registration confirmation, either digitally or in print. Students are also required to carry their institutional identity cards.
