Patna: The Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana in Bihar is changing the lives of many people. This scheme by the Industry Department is helping not only the youth but also entrepreneurs of all ages to fulfil their dreams. By using this scheme, they are earning money for their families and creating jobs for others as well.
One such person is Abhimanyu Kumar from Munger district. After passing his intermediate exams, he wanted to join the Army. But when his father died, he had to look for other ways to support his family. He learnt about the Udyami Yojana, applied for it, and got selected. With Rs 10 lakh help from the government, he started a small plant to make flour, sattu, and gram flour. Today, his business is running well, and he is giving jobs to many others.
Many other people are also using this scheme to start businesses. Prince Kumar has started an ice cream production unit. Gautam Kumar is making readymade clothes in his factory. Sunil Kumar has started a bakery unit. Ashish Kumar Singh is making notebooks for students. Babban Kumar is also running a readymade garment manufacturing unit successfully.
Under this scheme, the Bihar government gives up to Rs 10 lakh to entrepreneurs. Half of this money is a grant and half is an interest-free loan. This makes it easy for people to start their own businesses without taking loans at high interest rates. The government hopes this scheme will continue to help more people become self-reliant and boost the local economy.
