Muzaffarpur: BRA Bihar University (BRABU) in Muzaffarpur has appointed 23 new principals to its colleges. These appointments were done through a transparent lottery system by the Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC). Many colleges did not have permanent principals for a long time, which affected their smooth running and academic planning.
One of the important appointments is Prof. Kanupriya, who has been made the principal of L.S. College, Muzaffarpur. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai praised this system, saying it was done fairly under the direct orders of the Governor of Bihar. He said the entire process was video recorded to keep it transparent and free from any bias.
Prof. Rai added that having permanent principals will help colleges plan better for education and research work. He said stable leadership will improve discipline and the quality of studies in all colleges under BRABU. He also shared that the university has achieved good progress in the last year and will continue to focus on academic excellence.
The new principals have been asked to take charge within 15 days. The appointment event was attended by university officials including Proctor Prof. B.S. Rai, Registrar Samir Kumar Sharma, Mayor Nirmala Sahu, Deputy Mayor Dr. Monalisa, and Raj Bhavan representative Prof. Rukhsana Khatoon. Many senior professors also congratulated the newly appointed principals and expressed hope for a better future for the university.
