Patna: Two men have been arrested at Patna Junction for allegedly molesting a woman police inspector as she was disembarking from the Dumka–Patna Express on Sunday.
According to officials, the woman, an inspector posted in Patna and originally from Bhagalpur district, was pushed and verbally abused by the two accused. One of them reportedly grabbed her hand during the altercation. The incident occurred as the train arrived at Patna Junction, prompting the inspector to raise an alarm.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel stationed at the platform apprehended the suspects immediately. They were identified as Bhola Kumar, a resident of Postal Park, Jakkanpur, and Dinesh Kumar from Pale village in Gaya district. Both were handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP), who later presented them in a railway court. The men have since been remanded to judicial custody.
Speaking on the incident, the superintendent of railway police said: “The two accused have been arrested for misbehaving and molesting a woman passenger. Further legal proceedings are underway.”
