Patna: The Bihar State Pollution Control Board has asked the people of Patna to avoid using vehicle horns on Sundays. This appeal comes as noise pollution continues to rise in the city due to traffic, construction work, loudspeakers, DJs, and industrial machines.
Officials say that loud noise can cause health problems like stress, high blood pressure, hearing loss, and even heart issues. The situation is getting worse as Patna’s population and number of vehicles keep growing.
To control this, the board has suggested that drivers should not use their horns on Sundays, except in emergencies. It hopes that this simple step can help bring some peace and quiet to the city, at least once a week.
The board has requested everyone’s support in this effort and encouraged citizens to start following the rule from the coming Sunday. They believe that if people cooperate, noise pollution in Patna can be controlled more effectively.
