Patna: Chhatrasal Singh, General Manager of East Central Railway, conducted a comprehensive window trailing inspection on Sunday across the Danapur-DDU and DDU-Sonnagar-Ankorha railway sections. The inspection aimed to assess safety measures, monsoon preparedness, signal visibility, track maintenance, ballasting, overhead traction, and the alignment and condition of track fittings.
As part of the inspection, Chhatrasal visited DDU Junction, reviewing the cleanliness of platforms, foot over bridges, and passenger amenities.
In the next leg of the visit, he reached Ankorha station and inspected the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Plant nearby. Discussions were held with plant officials regarding rail connectivity and infrastructure requirements. At Ankorha, Chhatrasal also reviewed facilities in the running room and planted a tree in the premises as part of the green initiative.
Further checks included the station’s panel room, the joint crew lobby, and the train manager booking area, with a focus on ensuring operational efficiency and comfort for staff.
He was accompanied by Divisional Railway Managers Vinod Kumar (Danapur) and Uday Singh Meena (DDU) within their respective jurisdictions during the inspection.
