Patna: No political party in Bihar has filed any objection to the recently released draft voter list, according to data shared by the Election Commission of India. The draft list, published on August 1 following the Special Summary Revision (SIR), drew criticism from Grand Alliance members including the RJD, Congress, and Left parties, but none of them submitted a formal objection within the mandated 48-hour period.
The Commission shared data recorded between 3 pm on August 1 and 3 pm on Sunday, confirming that no political outfit has raised objections so far. This development comes amid repeated allegations from opposition parties about irregularities in the revision process.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has the highest number of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) in the state at 53,338, followed by the RJD with 47,506, JDU with 36,550, and Congress with 17,549. Other parties such as LJP (Ram Vilas), RLJP, CPI(ML), BSP, CPI(M), AAP, and Rashtriya Lok Samta Party also participated in the revision process through their appointed BLAs.
Despite these numbers, no formal objection was submitted, even though individual voters filed 941 objections. Additionally, 4,374 new voter registration forms were received from individuals who recently turned 18 or older.
