Patna: Two officers from the Bihar Department of Information and Public Relations have brought sporting glory to the state after winning medals at the 35th State Shooting Competition, held from August 1 to 6 at the Nalanda Indoor Shooting Range in Harnaut and SS Shooting Academy in Bikram, Patna.
Assistant branch officer Ranjit Kumar Bharti delivered a standout performance, winning two gold medals in singles and team events in the 25-metre standard pistol category, along with a bronze medal in the 25-metre sports pistol team event.
His colleague, assistant branch officer Praveen Kumar, also made his mark by securing a bronze medal in the 25-metre sports pistol team event.
On their return, department director Vaibhav Srivastava congratulated the medal winners, presenting them with their medals once again. Additional secretary Rajiv Kumar Singh and joint director Ravi Bhushan Sahay also extended their congratulations, praising the officers for their achievements.
