Patna: Forty trainees under the Dashrath Manjhi Kaushal Vikas Yojana have completed their training and received certificates, while 10 of them have been offered jobs in reputed companies. The initiative, run by the Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department, aims to equip young people from marginalised communities with modern, employment-oriented skills.

The training, conducted through ISECT Limited in the domain skilling category, focused not only on technical expertise but also on building self-confidence, communication skills and workplace readiness.

At the certification and offer letter distribution ceremony, Deputy Director (Headquarters) of the department Rana Vaidyanath Kumar Singh, Regional Deputy Director (Welfare) Patna Division Pramod Kumar and Patna’s District Welfare Officer and District Project Officer Sanjeev Kumar Ratna encouraged trainees to apply their skills for the development of society and the state.

Ambrish Kumar, Zonal Head of ISECT Limited, said the programme’s goal went beyond technical training, aiming to prepare youth to adapt and excel in diverse work environments.

Trainees expressed their gratitude, noting that the scheme gave them the opportunity to learn new techniques and gain the confidence needed to enter the workforce. “After getting the offer letter, it feels like our hard work has paid off. We hope more youth from our village can benefit from this scheme,” one participant said.

The Dashrath Manjhi Kaushal Vikas Yojana provides free training, placement assistance and career guidance through recognised institutes. Officials urged trainees to continue upgrading their skills and inspire others to join similar programmes.
