Patna: The Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar braces for a critical floor test scheduled for Monday, with political tensions reaching a fever pitch in the state. In a bid to assert control, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assumed command, addressing BJP MLAs via virtual means during an ongoing workshop in Gaya.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary’s departure for Patna during the late hours signals heightened activity ahead of the crucial test. Alongside, Bihar’s in-charge Vinod Tawde remains stationed with the MLAs in Gaya, where access to the hotel has been restricted to party members, security personnel, and select media.

The BJP has strategically relocated 78 of its MLAs to Bodh Gaya for a preparatory workshop. These legislators are scheduled to directly proceed to Patna for the floor test on Monday. Notably, the absence of one MLA each from Darbhanga and West Champaran districts from the workshop has raised eyebrows, prompting Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary to ensure that members are adequately briefed during the training sessions.
