Patna: A big start-up summit will be held in Patna on 24 August under the Let’s Inspire Bihar campaign. The event will take place at Rabindra Bhavan and will be inaugurated by Bihar’s deputy chief minister, Samrat Choudhary. The summit aims to boost entrepreneurship in Bihar and support the goal of building a developed state by 2047.
The campaign has already connected more than 2.5 lakh people, including over 15,000 entrepreneurs and professionals. At present, around 350 start-ups are linked to the initiative. By 2028, the goal is to set up at least five start-ups in every district of Bihar, each giving jobs to more than 100 people.
At the summit, 21 successful start-ups will be given the Bihar Entrepreneurship Award. A draft Bihar @ 2047 Vision document will also be released, which will later be discussed and finalised at a conclave in Bengaluru in December. Delhi-based angel investor Amit Kumar has also announced funding of Rs 21 lakh for promising start-ups.
The campaign is not only about business but also about social change. Through education centres and health camps, thousands of underprivileged children and families in Bihar have already benefited. Organisers say the aim is to encourage young people, create jobs and build a better future for the state.
