Patna: Two young men from Vaishali district died on Tuesday after being struck by trains from both directions while crossing the railway tracks near Rajendra Nagar railway station in Patna.
The victims have been identified as Chhotu Kumar, a resident of Veerpur Panchayat in Raghopur block, and another unnamed youth. Chhotu Kumar ran a belt, glasses, and bag shop in Patna’s Gyaspur market and had travelled to the city four days ago to procure goods for his business. During this time, he was staying at the home of Golu Kumar.
According to family members, when Chhotu did not return home, they went searching and discovered that both youths had gone to Rajendra Nagar railway station. The bodies were found on the tracks, prompting the family to alert the railway police. The police sent the bodies to Patna Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examinations before handing them back to the families.
