Patna: The Railway Board has announced the launch of a new fast passenger train between Buxar and Patna, starting from September 29. The train, numbered 53202 from Buxar to Patna and 53201 on the return journey, will run six days a week, except Sundays. This new service is expected to make travel easier for people who commute daily for work, studies, or other purposes.
According to the timetable, the 53202 Buxar–Patna Fast Passenger will leave Buxar at 6:30 am and reach Patna at 9:10 am. On its way, it will stop at seven stations: Dumraon, Raghunathpur, Bihiya, Ara, Kulhadia, Bihta, and Danapur. The return train, 53201 Patna–Buxar Fast Passenger, will depart from Patna at 5:45 pm and arrive in Buxar at 8:35 pm, stopping at the same stations. The primary maintenance for the train will be carried out at Patna and Danapur stations.
The new train will be especially useful for commuters from towns like Ara, Buxar, and Dumraon, who travel to Patna regularly. With fewer stops compared to regular passenger trains, this service will save time and make journeys quicker. Passengers will have a reliable option for reaching Patna in the morning and returning home in the evening.
By introducing this fast passenger train, the railways aim to strengthen the connection between Patna and Buxar. It is expected to make daily travel more convenient and comfortable for passengers. The service is seen as a major benefit for residents in the region, providing a faster, smoother, and more reliable way to travel between the state capital and surrounding towns.
