Patna: A tragic road accident on the Chiraiyatand Bridge has left a family devastated after a six-year-old boy was killed by a speeding vehicle. The child, identified as Ayush Rajak, son of Satish Rajak of Shakuntala Committee Hall, was reportedly riding his bicycle to his grandmother’s home on Nala Road when he was struck from behind.
Eyewitnesses said the impact was so severe that Ayush died instantly at the scene. His grieving family described the loss as “irreparable” and called for swift action against those responsible.
Following the accident, local residents and the boy’s family staged a protest, blocking the road and demanding justice. Police from Jakkanpur and Kankarbagh stations were deployed to manage the crowd and restore order. Family members have insisted on the arrest of the driver of the unidentified vehicle and have called for compensation.
Road safety advocates say incidents like these highlight the urgent need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations in the city, where speeding remains a persistent hazard.
