Patna: The Department of Community and Family Medicine at AIIMS Patna marked the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an awareness event at the Naubatpur Referral Hospital.
Faculty members and resident doctors delivered a health talk underscoring the importance of breast self-examination, early detection of warning signs, risk factors, and available screening services. The session also highlighted the role of men in supporting women’s health, encouraging them to promote self-examination, regular check-ups, and prompt medical consultation in case of symptoms.

The event reflected this year’s theme, “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters,” emphasising that breast cancer affects individuals differently and that timely, appropriate care should be accessible to all, regardless of background or location.
