Patna: Patna Women’s College echoed with laughter and nostalgia on Saturday as it hosted the Golden Jubilee Alumni Meet for the class of 1975 at the Veronica Auditorium. The event, held at 11 a.m., saw proud alumnae reunite with their college after five decades, celebrating a journey of friendship, growth, and empowerment.
The celebration began with a photography session featuring the batch of 1975 and Principal Sister M. Rashmi A.C., whose warm welcome set the tone for the day. Roses were presented to each alumna, followed by a soulful musical welcome that filled the auditorium with emotion.
Amrita Jaiswal, President of the PWC Alumni Association, addressed the gathering, recalling her college days and reflecting on how Patna Women’s College shaped her life. Principal Sister M. Rashmi A.C. spoke about the institution’s evolution over 50 years — from its modest beginnings to its modern campus — and reaffirmed its mission of empowering women through education.
A special video presentation captured the college’s transformation, drawing applause and tears from the audience. The alumnae also felicitated Sister Rashmi, who, in turn, presented souvenirs and handbooks as tokens of remembrance.
The former Premier and Vice Premier of the 1975 batch shared emotional tributes, while sports secretaries from the batch were honoured for their achievements.
The event concluded with alumnae sharing personal stories and touring the expanded campus, marking not just a reunion but a reaffirmation of Patna Women’s College’s legacy of excellence and sisterhood.
