Patna: Amid the heated Bihar election campaign, a cheerful video of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad celebrating Halloween with his grandchildren has captured social media’s attention. The video, posted by his daughter Rohini Acharya, shows the veteran politician sharing laughter and sweets with the youngest members of his family.
In the video, Lalu Yadav can be seen seated with his grandchildren — some wearing ghostly masks, others in spooky makeup — as they try to scare him in jest. Smiling and playing along, the former Chief Minister responds to their playful questions with his trademark humour.
Rohini Acharya, who shared the clip on social media with the caption “Happy Halloween to everyone,” is also seen feeding her younger son, Iraj, while Lalu affectionately hands chocolates to the children. Tejashwi Yadav’s daughter, Katyayani, is also part of the family celebration.
The lighthearted family gathering offers a glimpse of the veteran leader’s softer side at a time when political campaigns across Bihar are in full swing.
Halloween, celebrated globally on October 31, is marked by costumes, carved pumpkins, and spooky decorations. Lalu’s viral video — featuring laughter, playful scares, and bright orange pumpkins — has brought a rare moment of levity to the state’s election season.
