Ara: Ara city is witnessing massive security arrangements ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on Sunday. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public rally at the Majhaunwa Airport Ground, and the local administration has completed all preparations to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely. The entire city, along with nearby areas, has been placed under a tight security cover, with police and administrative teams working round the clock to maintain order.
According to officials, a large number of security personnel have been deployed for the Prime Minister’s program. This includes five Superintendents of Police (SPs), 25 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), and nearly 1,200 police officers and constables. Apart from this, seven companies of the Bihar Military Police (BMP), the Special Task Force (STF), and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) have also been pressed into service. Around 300 trainee police personnel are assisting in maintaining crowd discipline and ensuring safety. Security teams are spread from the Majhaunwa Airport Ground to all surrounding routes where the Prime Minister’s convoy is expected to pass.
To ensure there are no lapses, senior officers of Additional Director General (ADG) and Inspector General (IG) rank will arrive from Patna to supervise the arrangements. The Special Protection Group (SPG), responsible for the Prime Minister’s personal security, has already taken charge in Ara. The SPG team arrived two days ago and is monitoring every aspect of security, from the main stage to the entry and exit routes. Regular meetings between police and administrative officials are being held to ensure perfect coordination.
The administration has also made detailed plans for traffic management and parking. Special arrangements have been made at the New Police Line, Paswan Chowk, Veer Kunwar Singh College campus in Gausganj, and the Cavalry Ground for vehicle parking. The road from the Old Police Line to Salempur will remain open only for VIP movement during the rally. The general public will not be allowed to use this route, and traffic police have marked alternative roads for smooth movement.
Officials said that strict vigilance is being maintained across all police station areas in the district to prevent any disturbances during the Prime Minister’s visit. Police teams have been directed to remain on high alert and respond quickly to any situation. With such extensive preparations in place, Ara is fully geared up to host Prime Minister Modi’s rally on Sunday in a safe and organised manner.
