Kishanganj: All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi launched a fierce attack on both the NDA and the Grand Alliance during his election rallies in Bihar’s Seemanchal region on Saturday. Addressing crowds at Bengali Chowk in Bahadurganj and Tulsia High School grounds in Thakurganj, Owaisi accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav of deceiving Muslims and misrepresenting the Waqf issue for political gain.
“Tejashwi says the Waqf Act should be thrown in the dustbin. How can a law passed in Delhi not be implemented in Bihar?” Owaisi asked, alleging that the Act enables the government to encroach on graveyards, mosques, and Imambaras. He also claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had earlier supported this law.
Recalling the Bhagalpur riots, Owaisi questioned which party was in power during the violence, saying, “We have seen decades of jungle raj under Lalu and Nitish.” He added that Tejashwi Yadav had betrayed Muslim leaders, pointing out that three of the four AIMIM defectors to RJD were denied tickets this election.

Taking aim at caste politics, Owaisi said, “If a Mallah’s son, who represents 3% of the population, can become Deputy Chief Minister, why can’t a Muslim’s son, who makes up 17% of Bihar, become Chief Minister?”
Asserting his commitment to the Seemanchal region, Owaisi declared, “I will continue to fight for justice for Seemanchal’s people. They ask where I come from — I am not from the moon; I come from Hyderabad.”
