Darbhanga: Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh drew massive crowds during his rally in Bahadurpur, Darbhanga, where he campaigned for NDA candidate Madan Sahni.
During his address, Singh mistakenly chanted “Mukesh Sahni zindabad” (“Long live Mukesh Sahni”) before quickly correcting himself. “I am also a human being, my tongue slipped,” he said, apologising and switching to “Long live Madan Sahni.”
The star later sang the Bhojpuri campaign song “Jodhi Modi aur Nitish ke hit hoi” at the audience’s request.
Pawan Singh told supporters, “I couldn’t attend Saturday’s rally because of bad weather, but as soon as the skies cleared, I came to seek the blessings of the people. Without your love, I am incomplete.”
Holding up a red gamchha (traditional towel) from the stage, Singh added, “This is not just a cloth — it’s the identity of Bihar.”
The Bahadurpur constituency is witnessing a direct contest between sitting MLA Madan Sahni (NDA) and Bhola Yadav (RJD), a close aide of Lalu Prasad. Praising the minister, Singh said, “Madan Sahni Bhaiya won my heart the moment he stepped off the helicopter. The people of Bihar cannot be misled by lies.”
Ara — Amrapali Dubey’s Road Show for Independent Candidate
In Bhojpur’s Barhara seat, Bhojpuri actress Amrapali Dubey campaigned for independent candidate and former MLC Ranvijay Singh.
Her presence sparked excitement among supporters, with thousands lining the roads to catch a glimpse. The crowds led to traffic jams along the route.
Responding to fans’ requests, Dubey sang the popular Bhojpuri number “Hate Hatwale Na, Hate Nazariya Ho.”
Khagaria — Tragedy Strikes at Ravi Kishan’s Rally
In Parbatta, Khagaria, BJP MP and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan addressed a rally for LJP-R candidate Babulal Shaurya Sarkar, declaring, “Ramrajya will be established in Bihar in 2025.”
However, tragedy struck when a 75-year-old attendee, Vasudev Singh, collapsed during the event. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Kishan, who claimed he had been receiving death threats, addressed the issue from the stage. “They say they will shoot me in the forehead,” he said. “I tell them — if you kill one Ravi Kishan, thousands more will be born. Whom will you kill?”
