Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the schedule for the SETUP (Sent-Up) examination for students appearing in the 2026 Intermediate and Matriculation annual exams. The Intermediate SETUP exam will be conducted from November 19 to November 26, while the Matriculation SETUP exam will take place from November 19 to November 22.
According to the Board, only students with a minimum of 75 percent attendance will be allowed to appear for the SETUP exam. Those falling short of this attendance requirement will not be eligible to participate.
The Board clarified that the SETUP exam will be held at the institution level for students in the regular, independent, and qualifying categories who are registered for the 2026 annual examinations. However, students from the previous, compartmental, or improvement categories will not be permitted to appear.
Passing the SETUP exam has been made mandatory for all students. Those who fail or are absent from the screening test will not be allowed to sit for the 2026 annual examination, and admit cards will not be issued to them.
The SETUP exams will be conducted in two shifts:
- First shift: 9:30 am to 12:45 pm
- Second shift: 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm
As in the main examination, candidates will be given an additional 15 minutes to read and understand the question paper.
Special provisions have also been made for visually impaired candidates, who will be allowed to have a scribe during the Matriculation and Intermediate SETUP examinations.
The heads of institutions have been instructed to submit the Intermediate SETUP exam results to the District Education Office (DEO) by December 5, while the Matriculation SETUP exam results must be submitted by December 2.
