Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has largely withdrawn from public life following his party’s heavy loss in the recent Bihar Assembly elections. The 34-year-old politician has seldom left the residence of his mother, former chief minister Rabri Devi, and has maintained a minimal presence on social media.
On Monday, Yadav briefly left Rabri Devi’s residence and headed to Polo Road, avoiding media interaction. Witnesses reported that he acknowledged journalists with folded hands but made no comments.
Meanwhile, his wife Rajshree Yadav, along with their children Katyayani and Iraj, departed for Delhi, indicating a temporary relocation of the family. Tejashwi, however, remains in Bihar.
The election setback has also cast light on reported tensions within Yadav’s family. Social media posts from Rohini Acharya, a family member, suggested she has distanced herself from both politics and family affairs. Tejashwi has not publicly addressed these claims.
